FAQs

We are so grateful that we get to enjoy our day with those we love surrounding us.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy lives to come and celebrate.
Please review the below frequently asked questions.
If anything is unclear, you have questions, want to help, or have something to share, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We kindly ask that you don’t make assumptions - open communication helps us avoid uncomfortable misunderstandings.
HOW CAN I CONTACT YOU IF I HAVE A QUESTION?
We both monitor a shared email account:
sandyjoelnelson@gmail.com

If you need to reach Sandy or Joel directly:
Sandy: sandra.chylinski@googlemail.com
Joel: joel_nelson@outlook.com
WHAT IF I CAN ONLY ATTEND THE CEREMONY?
That is okay, we are excited that you are taking time of your day to be a part of our wedding, in anyway.
Please contact us directly so we can take notes and provide you with some information.
Thank you.
I GOT SICK LAST MINUTE!
I HAVE AN ACCIDENT!

Trust us, we were in this situation and things happen all the time.
Stay at home and rest.
Please contact us as soon as you feel sick, even on our big day.
We care about your well-being and we want to make sure you are okay.
HOW DO I GET TO THE VENUE?
The 'Details' tab includes the venue’s address and helpful travel information.
We want to give everyone flexibility, so we kindly ask you to arrange your own transportation.
IF I DRIVE, WHERE CAN I PARK?
Great question!
Parking is available at the entrance to the main road, near the ceremony and reception spaces.
There are 30 spots available, so we recommend carpooling!
If you plan to drink, please make sure you have a way home! Stay safe and consider using a rideshare service or carpooling.
WHAT'S THE BAR SITUATION?
Glad you asked!
We’re offering an open bar with a pre selection of drinks from 4-10 PM and one welcome drink either cocktail or spirit. Please select your choice on the RSVP form.
Our goal is the perfect amount to get you on the dance floor without regrets! ♫
Note. Drinks will not be available for purchase.
WILL THERE BE FOOD?
Absolutely!
We've got Melbourne’s #1 wedding food truck (as awarded in 2024 & 2025) serving up a mix of familiar flavours with a fun, casual vibe at Leonards Hill Estate.
Also Chloe is enhancing a table similar to the one in the fairy tail 'The wishing table'. She will make sure you all are 'plentiful' :).
WHAT ABOUT FOOD ALLERGIES?
If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know in your RSVP so we can do our best to accommodate you.
ARE KIDS WELCOME?
We have decided on an adults-only wedding.
We hope you can arrange something for your little ones and join us for the celebration!
Note for guests traveling from overseas:
If you don't have family and friends in Australia to look after your little ones, your children are welcome to attend both the ceremony and reception. Contact us, so we can take a note.
IF SOMEONE IN MY PARTY CAN’T MAKE IT, CAN I BRING SOMEONE ELSE?
We truly appreciate your enthusiasm to celebrate with us!
However, we can only accommodate those listed on your invitation and RSVP form.
WILL DAISY, SADIE, AND MAC BE AT THE WEDDING?
You bet they will!
We couldn't say 'yes' without them.
Check out "The Crew" tab to learn more about them and their personalities.
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
As much as we love all dogs, we can only take responsibility for our three pups.
Please leave your furry friends at home or in your booked accommodation.
IS THE WEDDING INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
The ceremony will be outdoors.
The cocktail hour and reception will have both indoor and outdoor spaces.
WILL THERE BE SEATS AT THE CEREMONY?
Yes there will be a limited amount of seats, we can unfortunately not seat everyone.
Please take a seat where ever you like, but we ask you to offer a seat to our elder guests first.
WILL THERE BE SEATS AT THE RECEPTION?
We have a cocktail style wedding but yes there will be enough seats for everyone.
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
We’ll find out on the day!
Everyone better finish their dinner for good luck.
Fun fact: Sandra is very superstitious!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Time to suit up and dress to impress!
Check the 'Details' tab for dress code specifics.
CAN I TAKE PICTURES?
We will have a professional photographer (Georgia) and videographer (Martin) capturing the day.
During the ceremony, we kindly ask you to put your phones on airplane mode or switch them off and keep them in your pocket.
After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you like!
CAN I SHARE PICTURES?
We value privacy - both ours and yours.
While we won't share photos of you we ask the same of you!
Please do not post any wedding photos, photos of bride and groom on social media or share them with people we don’t know until we’ve decided what we’d like to share ourselves.
You’re welcome to share pictures of yourself and friends, but please avoid sharing photos of other guests without their permission.
WHAT ABOUT GIFTS?
We have everything we need! Since travel restrictions mean no honeymoon just yet, we have a house fund instead.
If you would like to contribute, it would mean the world to us!
There will be a wishing well on the day, or contact us directly.
WHY DID YOU SEND SAVE THE DATES SO EARLY?
Sandy's family and friends are coming from overseas, and we wanted to give them plenty of time to plan - whether it's getting holiday approval, booking flights, or saving up for the trip.

WILL THE WEDDING BE IN GERMAN OR ENGLISH?
The ceremony will be held in English, as the majority of our guests are English speakers.
We will do our best to provide German translations for written materials.
